Iran: political prisoners condemn jailing of Montazeri’s son
A group of political prisoners in Gohardasht Prison issued a statement condemning the 21-year jail sentence issued for Ahmad Montazeri, son of the late Ayatollah Hossein-Ali Montazeri.
“The unjustified and questionable ruling issued by the special clerics court against Mr. Ahmad Montazeri for publicizing a sound bite of Ayatollah Montazeri regarding the massacre of political prisoners back in the summer of 1988 is truly a huge crime,” the statement reads.
“At a time when Iranian regime president Hassan Rouhani and his corrupt judicial minister deviously talk about freedom of speech, issuing such a criminal ruling, completely in contrast to all international legal standards, shows the completely shaky status of the mullahs’ establishment. This also reveals the regime is utterly terrified from a new wave of revelations made by various personalities regarding the summer 1988 massacre of political prisoners.
“They fail to understand that the regime has lost its opportunities. It must now face the reprimands of all the tortures, executions, terror attacks, unknown crimes of the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s, the nuclear program, massacring people in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Lebanon, all the plundering, corruptions and embezzlements in the billions, and suspiciously murdering political prisoners. This is what history has in store for all dictators.
“We political prisoners, based on our duty, condemn the interrogations, bogus charges, prosecution and issuing such an inhumane ruling. We call on international and human rights organizations to prevent the implementation of such a ruling.”
Iran: PMOI-supporting college students call for protests marking Students Day
Hail to the 48,000 college students who have lost their lives for the new Iranian revolution, from 1981 to this day, and especially the college students and youths massacred by the criminal mullahs’ regime during the 1988 massacre.
We, like other college students across the country, support the PMOI’s call for protests on December 6th marking Students Day.
This regime has reached its last days and last breaths. Iran is the home of many uprisings. Many protests have already taken place in Khuzestan, Isfahahn, Pasrgad, Urmia, Tabriz and across the country.
In this regard college students and youths across the country are invited to increase their protests and take advantage of every opportunity possible. They should not allow Khamenei’s paramilitary Bassij transform campuses into their own grounds.
We also support the justice movement demanding those responsible for the 1988 massacre be held accountable.
We must turn each campus into a center for major student protests.
Iran: rally held by protesters following major stock market losses
A group of stockholders, who have suffered major losses after investing in the Caspian Financial Institute, held a rally on Thursday in the city of Ardebil, northwest Iran. These protesters are demanding answers as their investments were plundered and are now seeking the return of this money, according to reports received from inside Iran.
It is worth noting that a group of these protesters had also staged a similar rally on Tuesday, November 29th.
Protest rally held in Isfahan and Shah-reza, central Iran
A group of Ghashghaie community locals held rallies in the cities of Isfahan and Shah-reza, central Iran, protesting a regime official insulting Ghashghaie women. This picket line was held outside the regime governorate office in these two cities.
Sadegh Zibakalam, a close affiliate to former Iranian regime president Akbar Rafsanjani, had recently insulted Ghashghaie women in a TV program.
“Zibakalam made a huge insult on a TV show. He used a phrase to describe Ghashghaie women, while also insulting another minority group… All human beings have rights and other people’s different lifestyles gives no one the mandate to insult them… It is crystal clear that Zibakalam intended to make an insult in his remarks,” one protester said.
